The Mansfield Rising project originated in 2018, when the Richland County Foundation sent 15 members of the community to SXSW, in Austin, Texas. These community minded volunteers were tasked with exploring ideas for new and innovative strategies to community and economic development. The trip was a success and has been the driving force behind many new and exciting projects, including Brand Richland, The Vertical Development Grant Program and the Main Street Improvement Project.
